The food and service in general is good. This last visit was a little off putting. Our server was rushing us to order. I had the menu less than 4 minutes and she was pushing us for the order. I ended up getting the same thing I always ordered because she pushing me to order. I also would recommend you don’t get the shrimp . They flatten it out way too much to look bigger but in the end it’s got no texture and tastes like crispy breading. The fish fillets were excellent!!

The Mambo rice is always a hit—packed with flavor and perfect as a base for just about any dish. The fried fish and shrimp platters are crispy, well-seasoned, and served hot. Portion sizes are generous, and everything comes out looking fresh and appetizing. Service is usually friendly, though it can be a little slow when they’re busy. That’s really the only reason I’m not giving a full five stars—timing and consistency. On some visits, everything is perfect; on others, the wait times for food or drinks can drag a bit. That said, the prices are reasonable, the micheladas are solid, and the overall vibe is fun, casual, and family-friendly. If you’re in the mood for flavorful seafood without breaking the bank, Mambo won’t disappoint. Definitely worth a visit—just be patient during peak hours.

Im not in Houston much but when I am Mambos is my first stop. Our sever Ashley was on point. We never had to look for her and she made sure all our needs we met. Customer service can make or break the day, Thanks again Ashley you made my day!!

Jose & Fanny are the Best Bartenders in the afternoon, they always have my Michelob Michelada with and extra lime cold as Ice! Great Micheladas! Great Rice and Great Fried Fish.
